The English department of Rutherford High School and Union Middle School has kicked off what promises to be an exciting school year! We hope that your students feel the same way! The addition of the Chromebooks to our classroom tools has already made an amazing difference. Gone are the days of dittos, handouts, and photocopies! This is a whole new world! The RHS and UMS teachers hope that all students are enjoying their summer! This is just a reminder to make sure that you have completed your summer reading selection by the first day of school. Students in RHS will write their essay on the first day that their class meets. Here are some of the exciting things that have happened in our Fine, Practical, and Performing Arts classes during the month of May as well as some exciting upcoming activities! Mrs. Blanchard – RHS Vocal Instructor The Concert Choir and Select Choir had an extremely successful spring concert on Thursday, 5/04. Both groups performed a variety of pieces. Here are some of the exciting things that have been happening in our 7-12 English classrooms during the month of May. Also included are some of the exciting things still to come!! Mrs. Bowden – RHS APLAC: The AP Language students took their AP Exam on Wednesday, May 10. Although the test is over, the year is not.
