Greek Mythology
The ELA students from Mrs. Bongiovanni and Ms. Scrimenti's homerooms have taught their classmates about different characters in Greek mythology. They each researched a character and created their own myths explaining how their character created a structure or place, such as the Grand Canyon, Niagra Falls, or the Terracotta Army. Newton’s Cars in 6th Grade STEM
6th grade students in the STEM elective at Pierrepont demonstrate their knowledge of Newton's Laws of Motion, Forces and Energy concepts as well as their engineering design skills to design, test, and improve cars made from of recycled materials. Hoops for Heart
Students at Pierrepont School recently participated in the first ever Hoops for Heart program, raising money for the American Heart Association. Ms. Mahoney, event coordinator and physical education teacher, is very proud of the students who participated. Collectively the students raised $6575.00! Hoops for Heart encourages students to take care of their heart through physical activity while making a difference in the lives of others. Building a Legacy
On March 9, the Rutherford High School production of “Disney’s High School Musical” had their final dress rehearsal. They invited the Pierrepont School Drama Club to watch. Many of the RHS students were involved in theatre during their time at Pierrepont, and were excited to see younger thespians sharing in their love of theatre. The Pierrepont students were mesmerized by their performance, and inspired to be like the actors on stage.
