Students in Mrs. Manocchio & Ms. Mitchell's 6th grade Language Arts classes visited several 4th grade classes to read the student-created myths that they have been working hard creating for several weeks. The writing task was part of a final culmination in the 6th grade reading unit on Greek Mythology. The students used the online technology platform Book Creator to publish their final drafts, allowing them to illustrate their stories with images that reflected the plot, characters, and themes of the myths. Safe School Winners
Pierrepont fifth grade students in Mr. Bach and Mrs. Garabedian classes participated in the Safe Route to Schools presentation, presented by Ms. Lisa Lee, the deputy director of Bike and Pedestrian programs with EZ RIde. The students also had the opportunity to participate in a poster contest as part of a Silver nomination award. Students participated in a zoom safety presentation and created safety posters based on what they learned.
