We have had a busy fall so far. It is hard to believe that first quarter of the school year is coming to a close! We were very lucky to have had two players from the NY Jets and the founder of Stomp Out Bullying speak with our 5th and 6th graders during the Week of Respect. Pierrepont School was selected by Google to have our STEM and Computer Applications students attend virtual field trips using Explorer AR technology. Fifth Grade STEM
5th grade students in STEM class design a mechanical ROBO arm to lift objects that differ in material and size, from a distance of 12 inches away. Students use learned critical and problem solving skills to build, test, and improve their designs. Halloween Candy Donation
Service Club is sponsoring Pierrepont's first ever Halloween candy donation to our Deployed Troops and First Responders through Operation Gratitude. Please send in excess Halloween candy or unopened bags of candy through 11/3/17 to school and we will send it to Operation Gratitude who will distribute it to our American Heroes. Students will be writing letters and drawing pictures in their classes, which will also be included in the packages.
