Could you spell the words “dingoes, conurbation or katabatic?” Twenty-four spellers competed on January 25, 2022 at the annual Pierrepont School Spelling Bee and after 21 hard-fought rounds crowned a new champion: Saisha Patel, a sixth-grader from Mrs. Manocchio & Ms. Mitchell’s homeroom. The spelling bee lasted 2 hours, 15 minutes and over 200 words were spelled in front of an audience of family and Pierrepont School staff. Once again, Pierrepont School is pleased to participate in the motivational reading program, BOOKS AND BEYOND. We will begin the program on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 for students in Grades 4 and 5. This year's program is sports themed "Reading... A Sport of All Seasons!”. The following will give you a basic introduction to the program.
