Many parents ask me how they can keep their children’s skills on grade level over the summer. I strongly encourage parents to have their children do some academic work 30-40 minutes a day five days a week. Parents should not have young learners complete work all at once, but break it into sections. I try to infuse skills into my son’s everyday activities. Here is what I do as a mother: discuss fractions while measuring ingredients for a fun treat, estimate distance the ball traveled while playing outside, skip counting in the car, math fact flash cards races and one skills sheet a … [Read more...] about Summer Enrichment
June Update
I hope the children enjoyed Field Day last week. There were some sightings of Mr. Potor riding around town with his whistle calling all students to play. I saw some fantastic pictures and posted some to our website. Please check them out. Ms. Clossey will be sending home information about the Art Show next week.
I just wanted to provide an update on a few end of year items. The teachers are coming to school in shifts to clean out the classrooms and help gather students' belongings. This process will be done by June 10th. … [Read more...] about June Update
Parents as Co-Teachers

Today two teachers took their students on a virtual field trip when their planned field trip was cancelled. Teachers have been holding class meetings to make sure students have a feeling of … [Read more...] about Distance Learning Update
Transitioning to Virtual Learning
Dear Lincoln Students,

In the meantime, your teachers are spending today getting resources and plans ready for you. Your teachers will list lessons for you on their Google Classroom or website page. You will have lessons on: reading, writing, word work, science/social studies, and math. I also asked the teachers to give you some 'fun' activities that can be shared with your … [Read more...] about Transitioning to Virtual Learning
