Our Eggs Have Arrived!! We have received our shipment of a dozen fertilized chicken eggs from Quiver Farm of Pennsburg, PA. courtesy of the Lincoln PTA. The eggs are on the office counter in a 100 degrees temperature-controlled incubator. The parents, Rooster Jack and Hen Jill, came to oversee that their eggs will be well cared for at Lincoln School. Students will be able to observe the incubation and hatching process first hand. After hatching around March 27th and residing at Lincoln for a couple weeks, the young chicks will be returned to the farm to mature. Trip to the Post Office
Mrs. Russo and Ms. Smith brought the students on a trip to the Rutherford Post Office and Top That! Donuts. The students completed a unit on letter writing with Mrs. Russo. They wrote letters to one another and mailed them at the Post Office. Ms. Smith worked with the students on their communication skills and they each independently ordered their own donut at Top That!
