Highlighting Vocabulary
Students from Mrs. Monochello’s third grade targeted reading class will be announcing a Word of the Day to the school. Students will pick a character trait from their class word list. They will say what the word means, provide the name of a character in a book who has that trait and provide an example of the character displaying that trait. Students will be designing a t-shirt, which will have the character trait, example and the book title. These will be displayed outside Mrs. Monochello’s room. 50th Day of School
50th Day of School- November 20th Students are strongly encouraged to step back in time to 1950! Children will listen to 50s music and learn about inventions of the decade. Please have your child dress accordingly (poodle skirts, scarves, white tee shirts, rolled-up jeans). The teachers and children look forward to dressing for school. Standards-Based Report Card

Parent Visitation Day November 12th
Please come visit your child during the school day. Parents can observe a classroom lesson or interact with their child as they learn a new skill. Your child’s teacher will send home a schedule.
