Winter Olympics came to Lincoln School. Physical education teacher, Tom Potor, designed a number of events for the students to participate in that related to the events in South Korea (minus the snow and ice). Mr. Potor shared the history of the Olympic symbol with all and displayed this symbol in the center of the 'ice rink.' Students had the chance to ride on a bobsled, ski jump, speed skate and slide the curling stone. The Olympic torch will also be relayed in coming classes. We have counted all the cans of soup donated to our Soup-er Bowl collection. New England Patriots had 90 items and the Philadelphia Eagles had 160! Good luck to both teams this Sunday. Great Kindness Challenge
During the week of January 22nd, students will participate in The Great Kindness Challenge. Students will challenge themselves to perform as many kind deeds as they can in one week. Students will receive a checklist with suggestions listed. Each day we will participate in activities to promote kindness. The PTA will be assisting students at lunch time who want to make cards and crafts for others.
