Election Excitement Hits Lincoln
For the past two weeks second graders participated in an interdisciplinary unit on the election process. Students brainstormed issues facing them, selected the two most pressing issues (dance party and one week of no homework) and then ran campaigns to have their issue passed! On Monday the second grade teachers held a political rally where students persuaded the audience to support their cause. Students shared their research on the topic and their personal views and then tried to excite the audience to vote.
