In February 2012, we asked you to contribute to a vision of reclaiming the Lincoln Woods area for our children and the community of Rutherford by turning the Woods into an environmental trail and outdoor classroom. Hard Character Trait Focus: Respect
This month Lincoln School is focusing on the hard character trait- Respect. Respect is a way of treating or thinking about something or someone. If you respect your teacher, you admire her and treat her well. People respect others who are impressive for any reason, such as being in authority — like a teacher or police officer — or being an elder — like a grandparent. Back to School Night
I would like to invite you to attend Lincoln School’s Back to School Night on September 22nd. This is an opportunity to meet your child’s classroom teacher and some special subject teachers as well. Teachers may present information on classroom routines and procedures, curriculum, special activities, and instructional materials. Most importantly, you get to view the learning environment of your child. At 7 p.m. there will be a Welcome Address in the gymnasium. Remembering
Lincoln School commemorated September 11th by honoring our home town heroes, the first responders. Students and staff wore red, white and blue to school and class representatives from each of the classes in Grades 1-3 placed flags lining the walkways at the entrance of the school in appreciation and remembrance. Welcome back to an exciting 2016-2017 school year! School opens for all students on Tuesday, September 6th.
