Community 201 Gets 1st Reply to Letters
As part of a writing project, Mrs. Smith's Community 201 wrote letters with words of advice to Mrs. Smith’s class from 2011 who are current RHS juniors. Ivy Kelly was the first to receive a hand-delivered reply from Evan Gordon, a junior at RHS. For more than a decade, Mrs. Smith's 2011 second grade students have been writing to her during the summer months. Ms. Kessler’s first graders worked on expressing their opinions during Writer's Workshop. After reading Hey, Little Ant, the students discussed whether the character in the book would squish the ant OR save the ant.
