Karen Orloff, author of I Wanna Iguana, visited Lincoln School on April 6. Mrs. Orloff read several of her stories to the students, as well as explained how an author created a book and it gets published. Ms. Orloff surprised many students when she said she had never met the illustrators of her books, and that she has very little input on the illustrations. Third grade classes participated in an activity to develop ideas for stories. Community Helper Week in PreK4
During community helper week, our preschoolers had a visit from Detective Anderson, Officer Reed and Officer Villarreal. The PreK4 students had a tour of a police car and even got to use the radio! They learned some strategies on how to stay safe and call 911 if help is needed. The students had a blast! April Fools’ Day!!
Ms. Mulrain played an April Fools' Day joke on her class today.
