As part of the grade 2 Science curriculum “Plant Adventures,” all Grade 2 students grew seedlings in their classrooms, then transplanted them to two garden beds on the Pierrepont side of Lincoln School. Students planted sunflowers, sweet peas, lettuce, and arugula. Each week, Ms. DeBouter’s and Mrs. Smith’s students tended to the garden beds by weeding, watering, and harvesting. Lincoln Character Traits and Contest
Lincoln School concluded the year-long character trait initiative in May. Character traits reinforced this year were:, respect, citizenship, wisdom, kindness, love, self-control and appreciation of beauty. Nominated students’ names were displayed on stars on our hallway Character Tree. Students also created posters summarizing what was learned throughout the year.
