Summer Enrichment Academy Goes Under the Sea
This year Rutherford Public Schools introduced a Summer Enrichment Academy to provide students with academic experiences based on gifted and talented teaching principles. Students attend class from 8:30- 12:30 p.m. and engage in thematic units using hands-on exploration. Students investigate a topic for the week. The first topic, "Under the Sea" was a splash! RHS Pool Closure
The Rutherford pool is currently closed. The school and the YMCA are working to have it reopened as soon as possible. Several issues were found when it was inspected earlier this week and both organizations are working to get the items fixed. Thank you for your patience and understanding. School Board, Community Association Will Work Together to Expand Use of HS Pool
A profit-sharing plan will expand the community’s use of the pool at Rutherford High School, while setting aside funds to offset future capital improvements. Rutherford Public Schools Board of Education accepted a bid Monday and directed its business administrator to work out contract details. The nonprofit Rutherford Swim Association submitted the winning bid.
